The Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) is pleased with the success of its first year driving the Thai halal industry, generating 335 million baht in trade and enhancing Thailand’s positioning as the "ASEAN Halal Hub."

Thailand is aiming to become one of the world’s top 10 shippers of halal food, helping Thai exports recover from their 14-per-cent drop this year due to the Covid-19 impact.
